This year for valentines I received the perfect gift from my husband. Now, you may all be laughing (cause I sure did) but honestly this was the the most beautiful bouquet I have ever received. My poor husband doesn't have the easiest time buying gifts for me these days. I own a store full of beautiful things... which means he can no longer buy me clothes or jewelry. I frown at almost any type of typical store bought body product, and if the chocolate isn't organic & fair trade i'm not that thrilled (but will probably still eat it). For the last few years he has also learned not to buy me flowers unless they come from a local road side stand (because of the chemicals, unfair labour and travel involved). So this year, even though I had expressed I didn't need anything, I awoke in the morning to red and yellow peppers standing tall on celery sticks in a vintage jar that he found, along with a vegan cookbook. Haa! still laughing a little which makes the gift that much better. Also thinking it's probably time to look up a recipe for stuffed peppers... Anyway, happy v-day to all of you, & here's hoping this little story inspires a bit of creative & eco friendly gift giving for your sweet day.
January is quickly coming to a close... and this year for some reason i'm almost sad to say it! We've had a stunning January down in the Bay; good sales, happy customers and an array of exciting weather conditions!
We just received a fresh and fabulous new order of Padraig Slippers and now have a good selection in all sizes. We also just received a fresh batch of Kama Soap, hand delivered yesterday from Salts Spring Island. Plus, the Lemon Corriander Soap is now back on the menu, so if that was a past favorite hurry in as there are only 10 bars (for now).
The remaining sale items have now been marked down, and there truly are some incredible deals. Many items now 30%-60% off... need to make room for Spring arrivals on the way! Included in the deals are all Lilikoi Dresses now 30% and all woollen sweaters now 40% off.
